Kate Callahan is an artist whose music has her growing audiences blissfully under The Influence Of Red.

del Amitri is one of my all-time favorite bands, hailing from Glasgow, Scotland. You could say that lead singer-songwriter Justin Currie taught me how to sing (and write as well).

Along with the dels, Jude Cole's music saved my life. One of the finest singer-songwriters I've ever heard, and like the dels, somewhat of an uncovered gem.

Lisa Martin is an extraordinary songstress with whom I've had the good fortune to tour and record. Check out her debut CD, Set Me On Fire, which features the talents of guitarist Duke Levine (best known for his work with Mary Chapin Carpenter and Jonatha Brooke).

Stephen Kellogg leads the vanguard of young Northeast singer-songwriters, which is why we call him "Fat Sam The Man." His record South of Stephen is a must-have, and his site's a real hoot, too!

John Hiatt is an influence and inspiration, still one of the finest singer-songwriters of our time, an active and vital artist who's penned hits for more artists than I could possibly list here.

IHEG - The Iron Horse Music Hall - here's where it all began for me, and a slew of friendly up-and-coming artists, as our "home away from home" venue. Without their open stage, things might've been much different; I could be off driving a delivery truck somewhere near Timbuktu!

Mary Ann Farley is one of the reasons I'm here today. She makes music that makes you listen, music that gets to you, music that matters. An authentic artist who defies media cliched terms like "rockgrrl," an indie on her own terms.

Feathermerchants is a way-cool band that features my producer, Jim Chapdelaine, on big-dog guitars. In fact, FM Pete Veru was kind enough to let me borrow three-fifths of the band for the recording of Familiar Strangers (drummer Jon Peckman and bassist Drew Glackin), and their lead singer Erin O'Hara is out of this world, so check them out!
